Committee Notes:

The EEBP Committee conducts their business by holding conference calls three to four times a year, addressing the goals set forth by the NGNA Board of Directors. In addition, the committee meets once a year at the NGNA's national convention. The following activities occurred in 2011:

• Our Mission statement was developed.
• Members submitted articles to SIGN.
• Members identified the need to provide educational support and clearer instructions for poster abstract submissions for the annual convention.
• SIGN articles on ‘What is Evidence Based Practice” and “Guidelines for Poster Abstract Submissions” are forthcoming.

Our Mission
Provide education to members and non-members about Evidence Based Practice (EBP) principles, protocols, and guidelines while supporting the development, integration, and distribution of EBP in gerontology to the healthcare community including aging adults and their caregivers.
