FAQ Aligning NH Quality Initiatives
A Q & A document developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes national campaign coordination group. This document was created to clarify how some of the national nursing home quality initiatives relate to and are aligned with each other. The purpose is to help nursing homes and partners/stakeholders better understand how to participate in and benefit from various initiatives.

Committee Notes:

Mission
To promote and support the development of gerontological nursing experts and improve the care provided to older adults in long term care.

Goals

  1. The LTC SIG will provide opportunities for networking and communication with gerontological nurses who have an interest in long term care.
  2. The LTC SIG will encourage advocacy initiatives geared toward the healthcare professions, academia, and the community.
The Long Term Care SIG meets monthly via conference call. If you would like to participate in the SIG, please contact the NGNA National Office.
