Hagerstown Community College presents Gerontological Nursing Review with Carol Rauen RN, MS, CCNS, CCRN, PCCN, CEN, RN-BC.

When: Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, 2015 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This course is intended for nurses who are planning to take the ANCC Gerontological Nursing Certification Exam. The lectures will cover all body systems, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, assessment strategies, and treatment options that are unique for care of older adults.

Geriatric Nursing Journal Call for Submissions

Consider submitting your manuscripts on innovative research or clinical work and projects relevant to care of older adults to Geriatric Nursing. Geriatric Nursing is one of our premier journals addressing the care of older adults and publications are disseminated widely to multiple association members including members of NGNA; the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association; the American Assisted Living Nursing Association; NICHE members; and the nursing members of the American Geriatric Society. In addition Geriatric Nursing has a wide electronic and individual subscription dissemination.

Nurse in Washington Internship

The Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) provides nurses the opportunity to learn how to influence health care through the legislative and regulatory processes. Participants learn from health policy experts and government officials, network with other nurses, and visit members of Congress. Legislative 'asks' will be provided for the attendees to practice with and present in their meetings with their members of Congress.
