By Joanne Alderman, MSN,RN,BC,APRN, FNGNA

NGNA Members…

Happy return of the Fall Season and the month of NGNA’s Annual Conference: GeroFocus 2016. Everyone working on the Conference has devoted their time and energies to provide our membership the latest evidence-based practice, thought-provoking topics, a variety of subjects to prompt discussion and perhaps additional inquiry and review of the literature. In addition, we get to view a fantastic movie.

Your Board of Directors and I want to know your preferences and how we, as the National Gerontological Nursing Association, can support our nurses who are close to or retiring, continue to be involved, connected, contribute and “make a difference”. Also, our younger nurses who are either just beginning to engage in care of the older adult or who have been caring for these wonderful people for some time. NGNA wants to provide year-round opportunities and a grand culmination of speakers, discussion groups, networking, and much more at the Annual Conferences. We are in process of forming the Task Force who will review the 2015 NEEDS SURVEY, update the content, and send to all members when ready.

There is still time to register and the hotel room rates will apply through Sunday. We sincerely hope you will be able to attend.

Best Regards,
