2014 Annual Convention

This year’s Annual Convention, themed NGNA on the Riverwalk: Spur Your Passion for Older Adults, will be in the amazing city of San Antonio, Texas. The area is rich in multicultural history, intriguing missions and those big open arms to welcome us to the state of Texas. To register online for the convention, click here.

While in San Antonio, you can look forward to hearing some incredible general session speakers, networking with our friends and colleagues, and enjoying breakout presentations on fresh and relevant topics, all while renewing your spirit for the care of older adults. The Wyndham Riverwalk is the place to be on October 2-4, 2014.

Students are encouraged to take an active part in our convention, and we strongly encourage them to attend at a reduced registration fee. Registration details will be found in the convention brochure, available online by May 30th. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio!

NGNA 2014 Convention: Call for Research Poster Abstracts

NGNA invites you to submit a Research Poster abstract for presentation at the 2014 Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, October 2 - 4, 2014.

The final deadline for Research Poster submissions is Thursday, July 31, 2014.

Abstracts are sought from nurses and other disciplines who specialize in the care of older adults. Abstracts are welcomed from those working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, home health, community health, hospice, schools of nursing, government and military, and industry.

Research poster abstracts must feature completed research. Optional: Research poster submissions may be considered for the Judith Braun Excellence in Research Award. Style, organization, scientific merit, discussion, impact on gerontological nursing and presentation will all be considered as posters are nominated for this award.

Call for Student Poster Abstracts

NGNA invites all undergraduate and graduate nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program at any level to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, from October 2-4, 2014.

Abstracts are sought from undergraduate and graduate nursing students who plan to specialize in the care of older adults in all areas of clinical practice, administration, research, and education. We welcome abstracts that emphasize all settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, home health, community health, hospice, schools of nursing, government and military, and industry.

The final deadline for Student Poster submissions is August 22, 2014.

Facilitated Learning to Advance Geriatrics (FLAG) Programs
